An unhappy soul, lost in the abyss,
Say's he's lonely and has no one to miss.
Drinks till he's happy because he's had too much to care
No one to connect with, just a life and not a person with whom he can share
Someone to be there for him is all that he needs
And somewhere far away his true friend's plead,
"We love you Mikey aren't we enough?
We know it's been hard and life has been rough,
but you're looking for something that you've already got
you just don't realize it yet or maybe you forgot.
Distance shouldn't make a difference because we're here to stay,
and when you get lonely, we're only a text or phone call away.
And while it may not be the same as having somebody near,
soon it'll be better cuz you go home in a year.
When we see you like this, we hurt too
and we wish we had all the answers to help you get through
but for now all we can do is tell you we love you and be an ear
and if you need advice, we promise to be sincere.
We really hope you find enough reason to change your ways
and pray for you only brighter and better days
These are my feelings and I hope you give them some thought
And I hope to be a part of the happiness you sought
You're worth more than this Mikey, so keep your head high
and just think of this poem next time you're wondering why

Sweet Nothings
Late in the night he calls my name,
We're not looking for fortune,
We're not looking for fame.
Just he and I in the heat of desire,
Tonight I am his slave and he is my sire.
He tells me sweet nothings and for the while I'm okay,
I extend an inviting welcome and rid his worries of today.
He tells me to come, but I really should to go,
It's almost daylight now and where I am,
No one can know.
I grab my clothes and try to shake off his smell,
then hug him goodnight and kiss him
farewell.
I grab my clothes and try to shake off his smell,
then hug him goodnight and kiss him
farewell.
